Songwriter and Modern Lovers founder Jonathan Richman summed it up in a lil ditty he once wrote.

Have you ever seen a motel room? after what people do to 'em?/ it's gross in there/

Even in the motel sink there are these little hairy things with blue gel and stuff on 'em/

Hey, the maid has to clean this stuff up you know / so leave a tip /

Leave a big fat tip

There are some products on the market one would not put on their skin, much less on intimate parts.

Yet, with all 50 ingredients we cannot identify, we will slather it on out of necessity and suffer consequences later. Commercial lubricants are mysterious examples of body care gone astray.

Also, as we age, we tend towards dryness. Men and women of a certain age can attest to dry or rough skin, and the genitals are no exception. What does one use that is moisturizing, but not greasy? A balm that actually heals the skin instead of temporary soothing, leaving skin in the same condition as before? In short, a viscous oil that can be used as a moisturizer and lubricant because its ingredients are gentle and the formulation was created to soothe and regenerate tissues. For those familiar, beneficial in the root (muladhara) and sacral (svadhisthana) regions/chakras. Massage in these areas are also a valuable part of self-care.

Riverlands Health has created an au natural, synthetic-free, zero preservative (by careful process, made in the traditional Ayurvedic way to preserve longer), fat soluble, proprietary balm. Crafted for every one, this specialty-made lubricant keeps irritation that common products can cause, at bay.  Always use clean hands when applying, darling. Keep in a cool, dark place and refrigerate if necessary for a thicker consistency.

Why dashamula?

Responsibly sourced, dashamula (ten root formula) is a common formulation in Ayurvedic medicine.  It is a collection of roots from five big trees and five smaller shrubs. Good for all tissues, as well as a muscle tonic to alleviate weakness and to direct flow of vata downwards, dashamula kvatha (decocotion) is used traditionally to alleviate pain, calm the nerves and soothe inflammation.

Why shatavari?

Wild asparagus root (aspargus racemosus) is a renowned tonic for the female system. The unctuous quality combats dryness, soothes and acts as rejuvenative.

Licorice root?

Benefits all tissues, acts as a sexual potentiser, and harmonizes a formula as it enhances properties of other herbs while neutralizing harsh aspects of stronger herbs (zero harshness here in this formula).

MCT? Hemp seed? Raw shea butter? Hexane-free Castor?

All of these oils are super emollients for skin and tissues, high in fats, vitamin A&E, while soothing inflammation and providing a similar viscosity to bodily secretions.

We have a feeling Jonathan Richman would approve.
